Macburro web comic at www.macburro.com

My good friend and I finally started on a project togheter, that we have been talking about for a year or so, a collaboration of wit, letters, nouns, verbs, strokes, ink and images. A weekly webcomic names "Macburro".

Giancarlo Ruiz is one of Tijuana's most original and mental filmmakers and recognized actor. A good friend, dog lover and polish sausagge eater. You can see more of his work here at www.genericpictures.com

Panel to Panel season greetings card.

Just finished a image for www.paneltopanel.net Exploring words and pictures for their season greetings card. I did not want to do a regular season gretings card, so I decided to do something more spiritual playing with the idea of Mayan end time myth and the concept of being here now.

Process for stomach ache/Dolor de panza

The illustration was created for my Digital/traditional illustration workshop in my studio in Playas De Tijuana, Mexico. Students learned how to digitally ink a image in Manga Studio, make hand made textures and traditionally inked shadow. The it is all merged into a single image.

The above image is the inked image in Manga Studio. In Black and white at 600 dpi then exported into photoshop.


Shadow drawing in sumi ink on paper

The above image is sumi ink on bristol, later scanned and combined with the black and white image in photoshop, where other paper and hand made textures are scanned in and incorporated into the image.

Working on a new comic book about 44 to 64 pages, it is part 3 "Secret Societer" this is the story about the illuminati's purpose of existing and how it ties togheter witht he general story.
